We had a very fun weekend celebrating Cal's third birthday party. We had a big picnic with all our friends at a fantastic local park--complete with its own miniature railroad!
Cal insisted on holding on to his ticket the whole time.

After our guests left, we took one more family ride on the train with Grandma and Grandpa:

These pictures are so adorable! I love how Cal is folding his arms next to the conductor. Fear or reverence, I can't tell, haha. Looked like a fantastic party. Happy Birthday Cal!
The only missing photos were those of Cal's sweetness and kindness as he handed out treats to all his friends as they greeted him. When a family arrived with their children, Cal would see the boy or girl and would then grab a roll or a drink and put it in their hand as he greeted. Such innocence and kindness. He has learned the lesson early that it's better to be a contributor than an accumulator. Rosemary and I love his soul! We are so grateful to Megan and Reed--they are such great parents!
